Lorna joined KCC in 2013 and became Kaslo Branch coordinator in 2015. She’s been passionate about reducing the collective and individual carbon footprint since the 1980s in Calgary, commuting year-round on a bicycle, walking, and using public transit; now in the Kootenays, also cycling, using public transit, KCC vehicles, and ride-sharing. She has signed on to the EcoSociety’s Renewable Energy in the Kootenays campaign to have Kaslo Village commit to 100% renewable. She’s written the various jurisdictions responsible for Public Transit to improve Public Transit service to the West Kootenays and to transition to electric.
