Over the past number of years my wife and I have been working on reducing our carbon footprint and our monthly costs during retirement. One key step was to reduce to one electric car. Hence my interest in the Carshare. As soon as I landed in the area, I acquired a membership and became interested in how to spread the word and ensure that this valuable alternative to car ownership continued to exist and thrive. I am a retired teacher and special education consultant. I have been an active member of other non-profit boards in the past. My wife and I are now enjoying all the Kootenays have to offer as we hike, bike, ski, snowshoe and take in all the cultural experiences.
